That review really pained me because it was never my intention to cause anyone to lose profit nor had I ever planned on being compared to someone putting out a product.
My blog is very "stream of conciousness", I just wake up and hack something out in about twenty minutes.
Hey, no worries. As they say, there's no such thing as a bad review. Your words were spot on and, in truth, I just wasn't sure what Tricky Owlbear could offer the OSR besides modules (which we still are planning on doing). I think the review has made some people take note of the series and keep watch for what we'll do for MMM #2. Thanks for visiting the blog!
It pained me, but I didn't write the review, I'm not James, I am the author of Ancient Vaults.
Ah, I see. I didn't think you were James but the way your comment was worded made me wonder. :) It's still no problem and James' critique is valid. That said, can you really have too many magic items to look at? Nice blog by the way!
I say the more the merrier!
I just don't want my efforts, or those by others with free material out there, to step on any toes.
I firmly believe that there is enough room for all of us in the OSR and those putting out product for profit shouldn't be hindered from that profit in any way.
Thank you for the blog comment! I just hack something out first thing in the morning.
